North Jersey Mobile Physical Therapy was started in 2023 by Derek Hendershot PT, DPT with the goal of providing high quality physical therapy services to seniors and all patients within the comfort of their own home. 

Having grown up locally in Sussex County, Derek has a great appreciation for the area and takes pride in working in the area he grew up in.  Derek is a proud graduate of Misericordia University where he earned his doctorate in Physical Therapy. 

Having worked for multiple hospitals and homecare agencies in Northern New Jersey prior to starting his own company, Derek noticed a distinct need for in-home, mobile outpatient physical therapy services in the area, especially for older adults.  Derek decided to help address this problem through the founding of North Jersey Mobile PT, with the goal to provide convenient, high quality physical therapy services to patients where they need it most, within the comfort of their homes. 

When he isn’t out treating patients, Derek can be found trying local restaurants and breweries with his wife Victoria or hiking local trails with his Australian Cattle Dog Hopper.
